I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit with a power full laptop with 10 hours of battery, Intel Quad Core, 8GB RAM
So fast that you can’t imagine the speed.

I’ve got it set now, and I’m very happy with the result. The problem wasn’t my display adapter, but the fact that I was missing several dlls that I needed. I can only remember one right now and that is themeui.dll

Once I’d gotten the required files from one of my contacts, installation of the theme was simple.

On a side note, does anyone know about a windows 7 theme for xp?

Logan – you’ve very well said it, it could be an issue with your display adapter or your graphics card. If you’ve followed the steps (patched the theme DLL) then I couldn’t see anything else causing this other the adapters and drivers.

I tried this theme and was very excited at the prospect of getting vista to look like Windows 7, but, As soon as I copied the directory to the location specified, I was HUGELY let down as all my windows, taskbar AND sidebar suddenly looked like Windows 98 again *cringe*

Did I do something wrong? Or could it be possible that my 128mb display adapter can’t cope?
