How to enable “Run” command in Windows Vista Start menu?
I’m sure you must have liked the convenient “Run…” menu option on your Windows XP Start menu.
If you look at Windows Vista’s Start menu, to your surprise, you won’t be able to find a “Run…” menu option.
Wouldn’t it be cool to have that convenient “Run…” menu option on Vista as well? Follow these simple steps to add “Run…” menu option to your Windows Vista’s Start menu,
Step-1:
Right-click on your Vista Task Bar and then click on the “Properties” option.
Step-2:
On the dialog that pops-up, go into the “Start Menu” tab. You might have the “Start menu” choice chosen already. If it is, then click on the “Customize…” button next to it. If not, and if the “Classic Start menu” choice is chosen then click on the corresponding “Customize…” button.
Step-3:
Windows will pop-up a “Customize Start Menu” dialog. Scroll down to locate the “Run command” option. Make sure to check the “Run command” option (have a tick mark up front) and then hit the OK button.
Now you should be able to see the “Run…” menu option on your Vista’s Start menu.
