Easily find updates for all your installed softwares on Windows
If you have many programs installed on your Windows machine and finding it hard to keep track of the many updates that the software maker releases then you should look into UpdateStar.
UpdateStar is a program that lets you stay up-to-date with almost all the softwares that you’ve installed on your computer. Staying up-to-date on your software updates are important sometimes to keep your Windows system stable and to get a better user experience out of those softwares. UpdateStar fills in that gap to find you the updates for the softwares that you have installed. It covers all the freeware, shareware and commercial softwares as well.
Follow these simple steps to keep your installed softwares up-to-date,
Step-1:
Download and install UpdateStar.
Step-2:
Launch UpdateStar. You might like UpdateStar’s Office 2007 Ribbon kind-of UI.
You can use the “Programs” tab to view all the installed programs. You might notice that this brings up the installed programs list much faster than the “Add/Remove Programs” that comes with Windows.
Step-3:
To begin searching for updates click on the “Search for updates” button.
Step-4:
UpdateStar will search for updates for all your installed softwares and will display a list of softwares for which updates are available.
You can choose to update all the programs for which updates are available using the “Update Programs” button.
Or you can choose to install specific updates by clicking on the program hyperlink.
UpdateStar will display a new screen where you can see further details about the available update (on Current Version:). You can click on one of the “Download” buttons to download and install the updates.
UpdateStar is a neat program to keep-up with the software updates. I hope you can make use of it to stay on top of the software updates on your computer. UpdateStar works on Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows Vista.

Forgot to mention that UpdateStar even pops-up a message (similar to the one you get on Outlook when you receive a new message) to notify you of available updates to the softwares on your machine. Really a cool thing to have on your Windows based machine.
