Google Calendar on your Gmail sidebar

Wouldn’t it be nice to have your upcoming Google Calendar appointments show up on your Gmail sidebar? Wouldn’t it be a convenience than to open up another window/tab to check your Google Calendar agenda. Follow these steps to bring your Google Calendar appointments to Gmail sidebar,

Step-1:

Google Calendar Entries

Continue to add your appointments in Google Calendar. Keep in mind that it is just a convenience to have those Google Calendar appointments show up in Gmail’s sidebar.

Step-2:

Click on the Settings link

Log-in to your Gmail account and click on the “Settings” link at the top right side.

Step-3:

Click on the Labs tab

Click on the “Labs” tab.

Step-4:

Click the "Enable" option

Scroll down to locate the “Google Calendar Gadget” section towards the bottom of the page. You might have “Disable” selected. Select “Enable” and hit the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

Step-5:

Your Gmail window gets refreshed automatically and once loaded you should be able to see a new gadget “Google Calendar” show up on the sidebar. It will list your agenda from Google Calendar.
