If you’ve been using Twitter for a while you might get a feel that it’s boring to see the same background. Of course, there are backgrounds that Twitter provides which you can make use of. But that’s very limited and you can’t fill-in your imagination.

TwitBacks is a free service that allows you to create free custom backgrounds and themes for your Twitter pages.

You just have to fill in some of the basic information like names, URLs, font, logo, social network links etc. for creating the background. Once you are done TwitBacks will email you with instructions on how to download the background.

Once you receive the email just click on the link on that email to download the background to your local computer.

Follow these steps to upload the backgrounds to Twitter,

Step-1:

Login to your Twitter account then click on the “Settings” link at the top.

Step-2:

Click on the “Design” tab.

Step-3:

Click on the “Change background image” link.

Step-4:

Click on the “Choose File” button to upload the saved file to Twitter.

If you can be satisfied with their free collection then they have around 19 (as of this writing) predefined custom backgrounds that you can freely download.
