Get more out of your Windows Vista laptop battery with Vista Battery Saver
You know it’s a pain to individually turn off the unnecessary bells-and-whistles of Windows Vista when your Windows Vista laptop switches to a battery source. Turning off the unnecessary bells-and-whistles of Windows Vista’s feature set will conserve the battery power and what that means in turn is that you get more out of your battery charge. Instead of turning off those features manually you can instead run a little program that takes care of turning those unnecessary features of Windows Vista off when your laptop power source changes to battery.
Vista Batter Saver
Vista Battery Saver is a little (not that little with 5.5 MB) program that claims to save 70% of your battery power by disabling those greedy Vista features.
Follow these steps to install and customize Vista Battery Saver on your laptop to get the most out of your laptop battery,
Step-1: Download and install Vista Battery Saver
Download and install Vista Battery Saver program to your laptop.
Step-2: Open Vista Battery Saver Options
Once installed you’ll be able to see a battery icon (don’t confuse Vista Battery Saver’s battery icon with Windows Vista’s battery icon) on your task bar.
Step-3: Customize Vista Battery Saver Features
Right click on the Vista Battery Saver battery icon and click on the “Open” menu option to open up the Vista Battery Saver’s options window. Here you can set your preference to turn off Vista Sidebar and Vista’s Aero effect when your power source changes to battery. My typical settings are that I set my Aero off when the battery’s remaining charge is around 30% and I keep Vista Sidebar always turned off when using battery.
Now when you switch to battery you’ll see Vista Battery Saver in action and you’ll see these notifications. If you’d rather prefer not to see these notifications you can disable notification messages on the Vista Battery Saver options window.
Keep in mind that Vista Battery Saver not only turns OFF the unnecessary features of Windows Vista when switching to battery source it also does the opposite of turning those features ON as well when switching back to power source.
I hope you make use of Windows Vista Battery Saver program to get the most out of your laptop battery. If you have any questions/comments regarding this please make sure to let us know in comments.
