How to resolve Gmail self redirection error?

A simple way to resolve a Gmail Self Redirection bug.

When I tried to logout of my Gmail account on Safari today I ended up facing a bug (I loosely call it a bug) in Gmail that for some reason it redirects to itself and so it never signs-out.

Instead Safari complained about too many redirects and stopped displaying the page. After a bit of trial and error I got that resolved. Here is how,

With the Safari browser open click on the “Develop” menu and then click on the “Disable Caches” option.

Close the browser and relaunch it and I got it resolved that way. Later on, if course, I enabled the Cache.

I hope you don’t face this issue ever but in case if you do I hope this helps in some way.
