Google Docs now supports Office 2007 file formats

Google Docs keep evolving and I started to use it pretty much for most of my MS Office needs. The one major complaint I had was when dealing with the Office 2007 file formats like .docx and .xlsx etc.

(To keep me happy, may be ;) Google Docs now supports Office 2007 file formats natively. What that means is that you can now import those .docx and .xlsx files into Google Docs without the conversion overhead. Isn’t that pretty cool?

Of course, Google Docs competitor Zoho Docs started supporting Office 2007 file formats from last year and they even allow you to export files on Office 2007 formats. Google Docs have some catch-up to do I guess.
