Access all your Google Services in one place with GButts

GButts brings all the Google services under one Firefox button.

With so many Google services out there it becomes (or it will become once Google expands to many territories) harder to keep track of all the Google services that you make use of every day.

Not anymore! If you use Firefox as your web browser GButts Firefox add-on can help you get to your favorite Google services with a click of a button on the Firefox toolbar.

Go ahead and download the GButts Firefox extension from Firefox add-ons site and restart Firefox to get the extension usable.

Once restarted, you might want to head over to the Firefox Add-ons dialog to configure GButts to use the various different Google services that GButts support and also to configure the way GButts play with Firefox. Select the “GButts” item and click on the “Preferences” button.

On the GButts Settings page click on the Google Services that you use or interested to quickly get to it. Make sure to uncheck the services that you don’t want to be listed on the GButts toolbar or menu.

Choose the way GButts buttons should be shown, as a toolbar or as a dropdown menu. Also, choose the orientation and the tab behavior to suit your preference. Once done hit the Ok button.

Still, you might not see the GButts button anywhere on your Firefox browser. Don’t panic. It’s just hiding behind for you to explore. You have to customize the toolbar to drag the GButts button to the toolbar. If you are using a Mac then click on the “View” and then “Toolbar” and then “Customize…” menu option.

Now you should be able to see “GButts Toolbar” as one of the item available for you to drag to the toolbar.

Do it (drag the button to the Firefox toolbar) and you’ll now have access to the one-click convenience to all your Google services.

GButts is a simple concept but can help you save some clicks and frustrations if you use a lot of Google services (which I do).
