Bing Theme for Windows 7

Use Bing theme for Windows 7 to get cool automatic desktop backgrounds from Bing.com.

On top of the different search experience that Bing.com provides, its eye-catching background images are another feature that attracts the most. How about bringing those nice Bing.com images to Windows 7 desktop backgrounds? It’s very simple.

Just download the “Bing.theme” file. You can save it anywhere, it doesn’t really matter.

Double-click on the Bing.theme file.

You’ll be prompted to download attachments or not. Bing theme for Windows 7 uses an RSS feed to get those nice desktop background images. What’s the point of using Bing theme without those background images? So, go ahead and click on the “Download Attachments” option.

Your Windows 7 theme will change to Bing theme (darker taskbar would be the first indication) and you’ll see the above screen with the “Bing” theme chosen. You should now be able to see those Bing images on your desktop background.

If you’d like to customize the images displayed or the frequency of changing the picture, right-click on the desktop and click on the “Personalize” menu option. On the above dialog you can see the feed URL from where Bing theme for Windows 7 gets those desktop backgrounds,. You can choose the pictures that you want to see in your desktop, position the picture (centered would be my choice) and the frequency with which the pictures should change.

When you right-click on your Windows 7 Desktop you might also be able to notice that there is a new “Next Desktop Background” option which would change the current desktop background picture to the next picture in the queue.

Bing Theme for Windows 7 is a nice alternative to some of the nicer themes that Windows 7 comes with. Especially if you like those Bing.com background images you’ll love the Bing.com theme for Windows 7.
