For those of you who are wondering what’s going on with DemoGeek since there are not much updates lately I just wanted to quickly chime in and give you a quick update.

DemoGeek was started off to demonstrate some of the intricate technical details of dealing with day-to-day computer usage. We stuck to our guns for a while and have produced some decent content that are indeed helpful (for example, our how to add custom iPhone ringtones post) and demonstrated what we stood for. As things have changed in this landscape and there are a few blogs (read How-To-Geek) that do an extremely good job of bringing in some really good content that demonstrate the details I thought it’s time to change the content strategy of this blog and am working on it.

Soon you will see a newly revamped DemoGeek.com that still helps people with their technical shortcomings but does that in an interesting way and simpler way. Just hang in there for few more days and we will start a new chapter on DemoGeek.com.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010 Everyone!

I just wanted to take this moment to thank everyone of our Demo Geek readers for your support last year in making Demo Geek better than the year before.

Even though 2009 wasn’t the greatest year for Demo Geek at least it was better than the launch year of 2008. Last year we managed to post 272 quality articles, that too with a considerable down time on July/August. We tried to stick to a posting schedule of at least one post per weekday. We introduced ROUNDUP, our Sunday post that covers tech news and tips that we found interesting to share with you. We tweaked the UI theme to better serve the content so you can read it better. We tried to diversify the topics that Demo Geek covers and quite a few other changes to make Demo Geek a better place for you to discover the technical stuff.

We have plans to take Demo Geek to the next level in this new year. Things might change quite a bit soon to serve you the tech content that you deserve in a lot better way. So, stay tuned for the next couple of weeks and please share your feedback.

Once again, thank you so much for all your support back in 2009. I wish you all the best in the New Year 2010.
